Mann Fung

Dr. Fung is currently the President of MCF Consulting. He has an extensive background in the Regulatory, Pharmaceutical, and Finance Industries with over 30 years of experience. Throughout his career, Dr. Fung has held various positions in different organizations. In his prior roles, Dr. Fung served as the CEO/CMO of Tavotek Biotherapeutics and held the position of Venture Partner at Fidelity Eight Roads Ventures. Additionally, he worked as a clinical consultant for BioMotiv Capital as well as a Scientific Advisory Board member for Virogin Biotech and YiSheng BioPharma. Dr. Fung began his career as a practicing physician before joining the US FDA. At the FDA, he worked as a Medical Reviewer and Team Leader in the early 1990s. He then transitioned to Eli Lilly, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility. He served a 5-year international assignment as the Medical & Regulatory Director of Lilly Greater China Operations and later the Head of Oncology for Lilly Japan.  After his tenure at Eli Lilly, Dr. Fung joined Johnson & Johnson (J&J), first as an Executive Director of the Specialty Pharma Division. He then became a Vice President in Janssen Oncology, playing a pivotal role in the development of various chemotherapy, TKIs, antibodies and Cell Therapy. Before retiring from J&J, Dr. Fung held the position of Vice President at the J&J Innovation Center. During his career he brought 10+ drugs for FDA approval and market launch.  Dr. Fung holds a B.S. in Pharmacy and M.D. degrees from the University of Utah. He furthered his medical training in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University and receiving additional training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. He also has a Master’s in Health Care Management from Harvard University and an Executive MBA from the University of Indianapolis.  Throughout his career, Dr. Fung has received multiple honors and awards from the FDA, Lilly, and J&J. In addition, he has authored/co-authored over 70 publications in numerous national and international journals. Dr. Fung is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) as well as an Adjunct Professor at multiple universities.
