Dr. Xiaoyun Liu, male, is a Professor and Deputy Director at the China Center for Health Development Studies, Peking University. He holds a PhD in Management from Fudan University and has over 20 years of experience in health systems and policy research. His research spans various countries, including China, Vietnam, India, and Cambodia, with a focus on health system reforms, primary healthcare, medical insurance systems, and health workforce management.
Dr. Liu began his academic career at Fudan University’s School of Public Health, where he taught and conducted research in health statistics and social medicine. He later served as a lecturer at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the UK, specializing in health systems and policy.
Since joining Peking University in 2010, Dr. Liu has been involved in numerous consulting projects for organizations such as the National Health Commission, the World Health Organization, and the UK Department for International Development. He has published over 30 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, covering topics such as health workforce management, tuberculosis control, and healthcare policy.
