Dr. Kenneth Chan completed his PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where he focused on developing AI algorithms for metagenomic sequence analysis. He has developed his Bioinformatics expertise through working on a variety of Bioinformatics applications, such as variant calling, genome assembly, metagenomics, genotyping by sequencing and methylation sequencing analysis. With over 20 years of experience in bioinformatics and data analysis, he has applied advanced computational techniques primarily to next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.

Throughout his career, Kenneth has held diverse positions that have significantly enhanced his expertise in bioinformatics and data analysis. His roles include Software Development Engineer, Business Analyst, Bioinformatician, Senior Postdoctoral Researcher, Bioinformatics Manager, and Visiting Lecturer. In addition to his technical capabilities, he has developed strong management capabilities.

Currently, he serves as a Senior Project Manager at the Centre for Pharmaceutical Regulatory Sciences at the University of Macau, where he continues to contribute to the field through innovative research and project leadership.
